What Is Tesamorelin + Ipamorelin?
This is a co-lyophilized blend of tesamorelin (5 mg) and ipamorelin (5 mg) in a single 10 mg vial. The two compounds reach the same endocrine axis through different doors: tesamorelin is a full-length GHRH analogue acting at the GHRH receptor, while ipamorelin is a pentapeptide ghrelin mimetic acting at GHS-R1a.
That separation is the point of the pairing. The two receptor classes are reported to act additively in preclinical work, so co-administration is used experimentally to test whether the pathways are independent. There is no published pharmacology for the blend itself — the evidence is the two single-compound literatures read together.
One practical note: the components differ roughly sevenfold in molecular weight, so equal masses are very unequal molar amounts — about 1.0 µmol of tesamorelin against 7.0 µmol of ipamorelin. Supplied at ≥99% HPLC purity per component with a batch-specific third-party COA. The first batch is in final QC; request the certificate below.

Two Receptors, One Axis
This blend pairs a GHRH-receptor agonist with a ghrelin-receptor (GHS-R1a) agonist. Both act on pituitary somatotrophs but through separate receptors, and the two pathways converge on the same axis — which is the stated rationale for combining them in research on growth-hormone regulation.
Why Combine Receptor Classes
GHRH-receptor and GHS-R1a signalling are reported to act additively in preclinical studies, and co-administration is used experimentally to probe whether the two pathways are independent or interacting. The combination itself has no published pharmacology; it is the two single-compound literatures side by side.
Ipamorelin's Selectivity
Ipamorelin is a pentapeptide of only 711.85 g/mol and is described in the literature as selective for GHS-R1a relative to earlier secretagogues, with less reported effect on cortisol and prolactin in preclinical work. That selectivity is the usual reason it is chosen over older compounds in this class.
A 7-Fold Molar Difference
Despite equal 5 mg amounts, tesamorelin (5135.86 g/mol) and ipamorelin (711.85 g/mol) differ roughly sevenfold in molar terms — about 1.0 µmol against 7.0 µmol per vial. Any concentration design based on mass alone will badly misrepresent the ratio of the two active species.
Limitations
The ratio is fixed at manufacture. Tesamorelin's sequence data comes largely from secondary vendor sources, and the two components differ considerably in size and stability, so treat the blend as two peptides sharing a vial rather than a single entity.

Bacteriostatic Water Ratio Chart (10 mg Vial)
| Diluent Added | Concentration | Per 0.1 mL Aliquot |
|---|---|---|
| 1.0 mL | 10.0 mg/mL | 1 mg |
| 2.0 mL | 5.0 mg/mL | 500 µg |
| 2.5 mL | 4.0 mg/mL | 400 µg |
| 3.0 mL | 3.33 mg/mL | 333 µg |
| 5.0 mL | 2.0 mg/mL | 200 µg |
Concentrations shown are total peptide. This vial contains 5 mg Tesamorelin + 5 mg Ipamorelin, so each component is a fixed fraction of every aliquot — they cannot be dosed independently.
Reconstitution Procedure
Allow the vial to reach room temperature. Introduce sterile or bacteriostatic water slowly down the inner glass wall — do not inject directly onto the powder cake. Swirl gently until fully dissolved; do not shake or vortex, as this can promote aggregation.
Temperature Stability
| State | Condition | Typical Stability |

| Lyophilized | 2–8 °C | Up to 12 months |
| Lyophilized | Room temp (≤25 °C) | Several weeks (transit) |
| Reconstituted | 2–8 °C | Up to 28 days |
| Reconstituted | −20 °C aliquots | Avoid repeated freeze–thaw |
