| Intended use | Diluent for reconstituting lyophilized peptides in laboratory research |
Bacteriostatic water is the standard diluent for multi-draw peptide stock solutions: the benzyl alcohol preservative inhibits microbial growth, so a vial can be sampled repeatedly over its in-use period. For assays where benzyl alcohol could interfere — some cell cultures are sensitive to it — use sterile, preservative-free water instead.
Work out diluent volumes and aliquot sizes with our reconstitution calculator, and see the reconstitution guide for technique.
Supplied for laboratory research use only. Not for injection, human or veterinary use.
