How to Read a Certificate of Analysis
HPLC Purity
Reversed-phase HPLC separates the target peptide from synthesis by-products. Purity is the main peak's share of total peak area at 220 nm; our release specification is ≥99.0%.
Mass Spectrometry Identity
ESI-MS measures the molecular mass of the material. An observed mass within a fraction of a dalton of the theoretical value confirms the correct sequence was made.
Peptide Content & Endotoxin
Net peptide content confirms the fill quantity per vial, and the LAL test screens for bacterial endotoxin. Questions about a report? Ask our team.
