TB-500 is the research designation commonly used for synthetic Thymosin Beta-4 (Tβ4), a 43-amino-acid, N-terminally acetylated peptide (4963.44 g/mol) encoded by the human TMSB4X gene. Tβ4 is one of the most abundant intracellular peptides in mammalian cells and the principal regulator of the monomeric (G-) actin pool.
Because actin dynamics underpin cell shape and motility, Tβ4 has been investigated in models of cell migration, wound closure, angiogenesis, cardiac injury, corneal repair and hair-follicle activity. Its central LKKTETQ actin-binding motif (residues 17–23) has also been synthesized as a shorter fragment, which some suppliers sell under the same "TB-500" name.
This product is the full-length 43-residue sequence (CAS 77591-33-4), supplied as 10 mg of lyophilized powder at ≥99.1% HPLC purity with a batch-specific third-party COA.
Each production lot is independently tested for identity, purity and content. Select a batch to view its analytical results — your vial label lists the batch number.

Thymosin β4 is the principal G-actin–sequestering peptide in mammalian cells, binding monomeric actin in a 1:1 complex and regulating cytoskeletal polymerization. The central LKKTETQ motif (residues 17–23) forms the actin-binding region and is the basis of fragment analogues.
In rat full-thickness wound models, topical and intraperitoneal Tβ4 was associated with increased re-epithelialization, collagen deposition and angiogenesis, alongside enhanced keratinocyte and endothelial cell migration in vitro.
In a mouse myocardial infarction model, Tβ4 formed a functional complex with PINCH and integrin-linked kinase (ILK), activating Akt signalling and promoting cardiomyocyte survival and migration.
Corneal injury models have reported reduced inflammatory cytokine expression and faster epithelial closure following Tβ4 exposure.
In rodent studies, Tβ4 accelerated hair growth and was associated with migration and differentiation of hair-follicle stem cells and their progeny, linking its actin-regulating activity to follicle cycling.
Much of the mechanistic data comes from rodent and cell-culture systems, and published studies differ in whether they used the full-length peptide or the LKKTETQ fragment, which complicates comparison.

Allow the vial to reach room temperature. Introduce sterile or bacteriostatic water slowly down the inner glass wall — do not inject directly onto the powder cake. Swirl gently until fully dissolved; do not shake or vortex, as this can promote aggregation.
