Who We Are
The data controller is Aclopiel Biochemical Logistics Group. For privacy questions or requests, email support@aclopiel.com.
Data We Collect
- Order data: name, email, phone, billing and shipping address, and order history.
- Compliance data: your research-use acknowledgement and any qualification information you provide.
- Payment data: we receive the information needed to match your payment to your order, such as the sending bank reference or a blockchain transaction hash. We do not accept card payments and never collect card details.
- Inquiry data: details you submit through our contact form or by email.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages requested, recorded in server logs for security.
Cookies & Browser Storage
We use your browser's local storage to remember your shopping cart, and session storage to remember your research-use confirmation for the current visit. These are strictly necessary for the site to function, are not shared with third parties, and are never used for tracking.
We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. It is optional and switched off by default: nothing is requested from Google and no analytics cookies are set unless you accept them on the banner shown on your first visit. Your choice is stored in your browser, and declining leaves the site making no third-party requests. To change your mind, clear this site's data in your browser and choose again on your next visit.
Where you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies that record a randomised identifier, the pages you view and approximate location derived from a truncated IP address. We enable IP anonymisation and do not use the data for advertising or share it with advertising networks. Google acts as our processor; data may be transferred to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you may withdraw at any time.
How We Use Data & Legal Bases
- To process and deliver orders: performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- To verify buyer qualification and research-use compliance, and to prevent fraud: our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- To keep tax, accounting and customs records: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
- To answer inquiries: legitimate interests or steps prior to a contract.
- To send marketing emails, only if you opt in: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
Sharing & Processors
We share personal data only with service providers acting on our instructions — payment processors, shipping carriers (including DHL and FedEx for international delivery), website hosting and email providers — and with customs or other authorities where required by law. We never sell personal data.
International Transfers
We are based in the United States and store data there. Where personal data of visitors in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom is transferred to the US, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where a recipient is certified.
Data Storage & Security
All pages and form submissions are transmitted over HTTPS using SSL/TLS encryption. Personal data is stored with reputable hosting providers, encrypted at rest where supported, and accessible only to staff who need it to fulfil orders or answer inquiries.
Retention
- Order and compliance records: 7 years, to meet tax and regulatory obligations.
- Contact inquiries not linked to an order: 24 months.
- Server security logs: 90 days.
Your Privacy Rights
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data; restrict or object to its processing; receive it in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority, or in the UK to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Residents of certain US states, such as California, have similar rights to know, delete and correct personal data, and to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal data.
To exercise any right, email support@aclopiel.com. We respond within one month and may need to verify your identity first.
Children
This website and our products are not intended for anyone under 21, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes to This Policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date. Significant changes will be communicated by email to account holders.
