What Is SLU-PP-332?
SLU-PP-332 is a synthetic acylhydrazone of 290.32 g/mol that acts as a pan-agonist at the three oestrogen-related receptors (ERRα, ERRβ and ERRγ), with the highest potency at ERRα. It is a small molecule, not a peptide, and it is stocked because it appears constantly in the same metabolic and mitochondrial research as the compounds around it.
The ERRs are orphan nuclear receptors: structurally related to the oestrogen receptors but constitutively active and unresponsive to oestradiol. ERRα drives a transcriptional programme covering mitochondrial biogenesis and oxidative metabolism that overlaps substantially with the PGC-1α response to endurance exercise, which is where the “exercise mimetic” description comes from.
Supplied as 10 mg of crystalline powder at ≥98% HPLC purity with a batch-specific third-party COA. It requires a DMSO stock solution — bacteriostatic water will not dissolve it. The first batch is in final QC; request the certificate below.

| Storage Conditions | Lyophilized: −20 °C, desiccated and protected from light. Reconstituted: 2–8 °C, use within 28 days. Store the powder at −20 °C, protected from light. Prepare a DMSO stock rather than an aqueous solution. |
Pan-ERR Agonism
SLU-PP-332 activates all three oestrogen-related receptors, with reported EC50 values of roughly 98 nM at ERRα, 230 nM at ERRβ and 430 nM at ERRγ — so it is ERRα-preferring rather than ERRα-selective. Despite the name, the ERRs are orphan nuclear receptors and are not oestrogen receptors; they do not bind oestradiol.
Why It Is Called an Exercise Mimetic
ERRα is a transcriptional regulator of oxidative metabolism and mitochondrial biogenesis, overlapping with the PGC-1α programme induced by endurance exercise. SLU-PP-332 has been described as an exercise mimetic on that basis — a transcriptional-overlap argument, not a demonstration of equivalence to training.
Reported Mouse Findings
Published mouse work reports increased running endurance and changes in fat oxidation after acute dosing. These are animal data in specific strains and protocols; no human data exist.
Handling
This is a lipophilic small molecule and behaves nothing like the peptides in this catalog. It requires a DMSO stock — bacteriostatic water will not dissolve it. Keep the final DMSO concentration in cell culture below the tolerance of your model system.
Limitations
Vendor classification of this compound is unreliable: one major supplier labels it an “estrogen/progestogen receptor agonist” and another lists it as an inhibitor, both of which contradict the reported ERR agonist pharmacology. A reported synonym, SR9861, is also unverified.

Reconstitution Procedure
Allow the vial to reach room temperature. Introduce sterile or bacteriostatic water slowly down the inner glass wall — do not inject directly onto the powder cake. Swirl gently until fully dissolved; do not shake or vortex, as this can promote aggregation.
